Amber Marie Savoie is a multidisciplinary artist, analogue photographer, and tarot reader. She was raised in Kamloops BC and received a BFA from ECUAD in Vancouver, before moving to Victoria in 2017. She created Delicate Realms in 2020, to be a container for her varied artistic and community-minded pursuits.
Her creations are informed by an aesthetic obsession with late 1960's counterculture and freak folk illustration that leans toward the mystical. Nostalgia, plants and animals, occultism, folk magick, and the divine feminine archetype fill the wells of inspiration, along with a desire to communicate something of the divine nature of experience, while also acknowledging the many realms that lie beyond our limited human perception.

Amber’s creative practice grows from the fertile soil of curiosity, in devotion to the wonders of nature and the excavation of Self. She works in an ever expanding repertoire of mediums, as her ideas often arrive as fully formed psychic images, ignorant of material or technical limitations. A desire to engage with these visionary phenomena requires her to constantly stretch outside her comfort zone and learn new ways of making, for the delight of bringing imagined forms to life. Her photographic practice is rooted in a love for the alchemical and ritualistic nature of film, and the spontaneous and often magical results that come from working with the vintage medium.
In addition to making art, Amber offers pragmatic tarot readings informed by Jungian psychology and western esotericism, as well as analogue photoshoots that capture states of wonder, enchantment, and raw beauty.
