What makes Maria’s work stand out is that every piece is one of a kind and made by her own hands. Many of the materials used in each design are of a very limited quantity. She work with high quality gem stones, fresh water pearls with both sterling silver and 14 k gold filled.
Her passion is not only jewelry making but also painting. She paints in all sorts of mediums (Oil, Acrylic, Venetian plaster and Encaustics).

Maria has been living in Victoria BC for the past 45 years. She migrated west after 12 years in Calgary and before that living in many places in Europe (“Air Force Brat”) with her family. Maria has always been a creative person and believes she was influenced by her time living in Italy as a child. She has been designing and making jewelry for the past 30 years.
Maria is mostly self-taught but has taken numerous courses and workshops from local artists and took two years at the Bank Street Art School. She teach summer-time Encaustics in her beautiful back garden with a limit of 6 students.
When Maria’s not being a creative, she’s usually travelling or working in her garden.
